Top Travel Spots in 2010: 3

ko-taoIf you are in the mood for a more exotic vacation, then look no further than Ko Tao in Thailand. Overflowing with rich, verdant landscapes that stretch on and on, beautiful locations for diving, exotic wildlife, amazing marine life — what more could you ask for? This is definitely the place to be if you love the great outdoors, and want to experience them in a new place.

Nam Ha in Laos is another much sought after, exotic destination. You may not think of Laos as a hot vacation spot, but that changes this year. A trip to Nam Ha is satisfying in a number of different ways, including culturally. You can actually stay with some of the locals, hike through the beautiful mountains, or go on tours of jungles and waterfalls, guided by those who know the land best.

Phuket: A Veritable Tropical Paradise

phuket-beach-bigWhile the sweeping tsunamis not so long ago might make you strike Phuket, Thailand from your list of must see destinations, it would really do you good to reconsider. Phuket, which is a beautiful island located just off of Thailand’s western coast, really is a veritable paradise of the Andaman Sea.

It is roughly similar in size to Singapore and is probably the richest province in all of Thailand; in reality, it is second only to Bangkok. It is known the world over for exquisite beaches, lush landscapes — including jungles — a thrilling nightlife, beautiful wildlife, stunning sea life, a rich and intriguing culture, and a number of interesting and just as rich traditions.

While it is best to plan your vacation there somewhere between the month of November and the month of March, you may be able to save a pretty penny by going in the off season. You can even enjoy some steamy, sultry rains by venturing there between August and October, when you will have the beaches virtually to yourself.

Bangkok Thailand: It’s The Place To Be!

A lot of people simply have no idea that Thailand is one of the most beautiful places to visit and go on vacation to.  Seriously, while I, personally have never been there, I know that there is a heck of a lot to see and that there are so many things to do, you truly will be amazed.  For example, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha is definitely something that everyone should see in their lifetime.  This temple is one of the oldest and largest in the world and it is definitely a sight that should not be rushed.

Another sight to be seen is the Jim Thompson House, this is the guy that started the Thai silk industry after WWII and it features all sorts of Asian art, along with tons of different and unique displays.  This is a sight that should not be missed or underestimated.  There are also a ton of different cooking classes that you can take or you can simply relax in one of the many different spas available!

Thailand, especially Bangkok really has it going on and too many people think that it is just too hot and sticky.  It is worth the sight, the trip and the heat!
